In the Regional League the meeting of the Female Benjamin of Dénia Basketball 12/13 that had to face Pedreguer was postponed at the last minute, without having a new date for their dispute at the moment. If the team Benjamín Masculino DBC 13 played against their match in the regional competition, which this time could not with the superiority of Xàbia (42-12) and conceded the first loss of the season.
The group led by Paqui Navarro this time lacked the joy of the previous weeks, and also found a rival who physically surpassed them, consequently dominating them with ease.

In this category, the match that was going to face our boys from Alevín Masculino DBC 10 with those from Benidorm on Saturday due to problems that arose at the last minute, had to be postponed at the end of the week. The other two representatives at this level did play and also prevailed in their respective commitments.
The girls of the Alevín Femenino DBC 10 continue to improve their performance in an evident way every week and were able on this occasion to defeat Paidos Red in the pavilion of Joan Fuster (48-34).
A good start to the game gave us enough strength to confidently face the rest of a match that was the third in a month and a half between both teams.
The favorable partial of the third period gave us a sufficient cushion of points to put the victory on track, and despite the response in the following of the schoolboys, the team was very involved in dynamics and was able to finish imposing comfortably.

After a first quarter with many doubts and without the necessary intensity, we put all our effort in defense and thanks to this our performance immediately increased, entering the game fully, with great collective performance from a very high pace of play.
There are many details to improve, but the line that the team is leading allows one to guess that it will be a very well spent season.
Kids
This week it was time to face strong rivals in the different competitions in which this category participates, who showed them the way forward to continue progressing.
The DBC 09 Women's Children's team yielded in a very tight final against Xàbia in Joan Fuster (25-26). Game with very low scoring and very even forces that anyone could take but it was decided from the free throw line where our rival was right in the last moments of the crash.
Match to mature and grow, to learn to better manage emotions and play better the tricks that are in hand, but that surely leaves a rich experience that the girls of Xavi Díaz will know how to take advantage of to grow.
Those who had no problems to prevail in their trip to Novelda were the girls from the Infantil Femenino DBC 08 (21-61).

Great performance from our representatives in the Cadet category last weekend. The Female Cadet DBC 07 had a double day by recovering the match against Ondara postponed the previous week during the week, and playing in Xàbia the one corresponding to the fifth day of the league.
Against Ondara, it was difficult to find our rhythm, but when we did we distance ourselves to impose ourselves with relative comfort (63-41).

We went up defensive lines and shared the ball more, thus achieving more comfort on the court and carrying out a difficult compromise.
On Saturday the DBC 07 Female Cadet team traveled to Xàbia with the lesson learned (4-44) to face their second match in a few days.
From an excellent defense put into practice from the beginning, we managed to dominate our opponents, allowing them very few shots from the basket throughout the game. This time we were very serious and we were constant in our staging on the track, and although there are always things to improve, the truth is that we returned home with a very good feeling.
The DBC 06 Female Cadet team defeated Terralfàs (64-23) without too many problems in the Joan Fuster pavilion.
For once they were masters of the rhythm of the game from the beginning of the match thanks to an effective pressure to all court, to the speed in the counterattacks and to the dominance of the inside game.
The good reading of the game led them to dominate at halftime by thirty points of difference, and although afterwards it was difficult for us to find the same tone again, the truth is that we continue to dominate and above all we find ourselves very comfortable on the court.
In the men's part, the DBC 07 Male Cadet team was defeated by UPB Gandía in Joan Fuster's pavilion (64-80), with two very different parts in the match.
Until the break, the dominance of La Safor's men was undeniable (22-49) thanks to their high defensive level and the remarkable success from the three-point line from where they achieved up to seven hits.
In the second part, Pascual Miralles' men could only improve. The team tried everything, they increased their intensity by a point and a half, and at times it seemed they would be able to turn the situation around, approaching the limit of twelve points that they could no longer reduce.
Gandía solved with talent the moments of greatest stress, in a precious second part to watch for the good spectator, which leaves the important lesson to our players of knowing that they are capable of reaching the level required to compete against this cut of teams, whom we could not even disturb such a short time ago as the same previous course.
Undoubtedly, the experience will make us tougher and prepare us for the next opportunity that presents itself in which we will believe more in our possibilities from the beginning.
