The ETC School of Regional Theater Marina Alta A new academic year has begun, resuming classes for More than a hundred students of all ages and with the purpose of developing a new project for the ETC Company. This company presented its last assembly last year, "Després of pluja"Under the direction of Inma Sancho.

2010 15 met in years of official existence of the school, who was born first as Escola Municipal Theater Dénia (EMTD) and he became 2004 in Escola de Teatre Comarcal, with the involvement of municipalities in Pedreguer, Teulada-Moraira and Denia. To know well what has been the history of this school, we talked to some people who have made their work, their dedication and enthusiasm, which will be created and structured school as it is today: Mario Osmar Passer, director and teacher at the school from 1995; Antonia Díaz, a professor of child and youth groups; Tere Ballester, acting teacher and actress; Dimas Montiel, Paco Bertomeu, Joan Ivars Rei and Rosana linked to the ETC at different times as students and theater lovers.

The idea of setting up a theater school emerged long before the EMTD was created in 1995. A late 80, a group of people with love and concern for the theater, including Denia and Antonia Dimas Montiel, asked for the collaboration of Mario O. Passero, who had just arrived from Buenos Aires city-its Natal- where he studied drama and worked in the company school. That group connected fine and even set up the work "Sextet Love and a Song of Despair" skits from own improvisations, which represented in the Plaza del Consell. Referring to those years, says Mario O. Pássero "There was drama in Dénia, concerns, many things to say, but there was training people went out, Alcoy, Valencia, to seek teaching". In 1991 Mario O. Pássero again Dénia to develop a project with the Center for Teachers (CEP) aimed at training teachers to teach drama in schools. Parallel continued to work to flesh out a drama school, and four years later was born the Escola Municipal de Teatre Dénia.

From the earliest days, the structure was supported and energized by gnte linked to the theater of Pedreguer, where a municipal theater school was also created. In 2004 the two schools merged and ETC Marina Alta was created. Organizing drama school looked from incicios the need to attract the younger audience to the theater training. ETC currently teaches seven different levels: Children, youth, disabled adults and three levels of the Company ETC. In addition to classes and assemblies that are made throughout the course in the Sala ETC, students and teachers collaborate with all organizations and institutions requesting their participation, and annually ETC organizes the Mostra de Teatre Ciutat de Dénia, this year celebrated the twentieth edition.

The valuation of the trajectory of the school is positive for respondents who agree on the need to attract more financial resources to continue moving forward in its progression. In this sense, says Tere Ballester "The Path of the school has been rising butt, but the issue of budgets is saturated, we are stuck for three years ... If we had more help, more resources, we could grow, because there are human potential."

From perspective student of the school furante eleven, Rosana Ivars is expressed by saying that "I admire the work of all these people, a job that is not valued and that receives little help." "If a theater is finally made in Dénia, I think these people have a lot to say on how they could structure and carry on."

On the short- and medium term, the school principal refers to consolidate the semiprofessional or professional company: "The spirit of pulling forward for ourselves is maintained by force, but there is a limit. "Després of pluja" was set up with the idea of going beyond the school, with a semi-professional character, go sell has been made with zero budget, so to speak ... "." If official support is more powerful you can go further. "

The ETC maintains collaboration agreement with the Department of Youth and has its facilities in the room ETC, located in Llunàtics. Mario O. Pássero has shown the appreciation of the school for the improvements made by the council since the year began, the room ETC.
