The Department of the Environment has presented the balance of the seventeen environmental education programs and activities that it has developed, in these last two years, together with the collaboration of the educational centers of our city; some activities that have reached 3.630 students of all ages enrolled in the schools and institutes of Dénia.
Through these programs it was proposed that students have a vision about nature that helps them become aware, sensitize and relate to the flora and fauna characteristic of our environment. The boys and girls have been able to see how their own behavior has an impact when it comes to improving or worsening the ecosystem.
In order to carry out this initiative, the Department of the Environment has drawn on resources from other administrations, foundations and private initiative to improve the offer and be able to provide a good service to students under the coordination ofchipthe RUVID (Network of Valencian Universities for Research and Development).
Due to the great reception given to the initiative from the Department of Environment it is already starting to prepare the new offer of face next year.
