The Director General of High Health Inspection visits the health centers of Denia

18 October 2017 - 13: 54

Isabel González, director general of the High Health Inspectorate of the Department of Health, visited the health centers of Dénia on Wednesday to check first hand the deficiencies in terms of infrastructures and personnel of the CSI in La Pedrera and Joan Fuster.

In the visit she has been accompanied by the mayor, Vicent Grimalt and the Councilor for Health, Cristina Morera, and has been able to speak with the nursing coordinators of the centers. The next step is to transfer the health concessionary company in the Marina Alta, Marina Salud, the needs that it has to replace in the capital of the region.

Another of the topics that has been discussed is the construction of the second health center, a process that was paralyzed a few months ago by the bureaucracy. It should be recalled that the City of Dénia recently ceded the plot in which it should be built to the Department, but ceded a part of the entire land. When delivering it to the Conselleria had to make a segregation and this procedure has led to the temporary stoppage of the procedures to require the company to build this second health center.

González has taken note of this situation and will transfer to Conselleria the state in which the health is currently in the municipality of Denia.

The visit of the director general of the High Sanitary Inspection of the Ministry of Health is part of a round of visits by the director general of the Municipalities of the Marina Alta to which she committed herself at the meeting with the Xarxa d'Alcaldes held last year September 25 in Dénia. In this sense, the visits began on October 5 in the neighboring municipality of Xàbia.
