The Diputación de Alicante allocates 7.000 euros for the Music festival at Castell de Dénia

The Diputación de Alicante will allocate this year 182.000 euros to the development of cultural activities of special importance in the municipalities of the province. Theater shows, recitals, music festivals or film cycles are some of the different proposals that will be carried out thanks to this aid program that will reach 33 locations.

The vice president and deputy for Culture, Julia Parra, explained that "the objective of this initiative is to promote and bring culture to all citizens of the province, with very varied proposals to reach all audiences."

Among them are the Festival of Traditional and Popular Music of Dénia -Música al Castell-, the Mostra de Teatre d'Alcoi, the Mostra de Teatre de l'Alfàs del Pi, the Music Contest of Benidorm, the Hernandian Spring of Orihuela, the José Tomás de Petrer International Guitar Festival or the Villena Summer Performing Arts Festival, all of them endowed with more than 7.000 euros of aid per activity.

In addition, the Provincial Council has allocated grants of around 6.000 euros each to the development and organization of events such as the Benejúzarte Regional Arts Contest, Cox Musical February, the Elx Jazz Festival, the Music Festival at the Estiu de Xàbia, the Musical Week of Aigües, the Cultural Week of Music a la Sang de L'Orxa or Les Concerts de Cambra de La Vall de Gallinera.

The Misteri dels Reis de Gata de Gorgos, the Crevillent Short Film Contest or the Film Festival in L'Abdet de Confrides, are other of the various cultural proposals that will be carried out thanks to this call for grants, whose amounts range from 250 to 7.900 euros.
