The coordinator of the Creative City Shunde move to neighboring tourist and gastronomic resources Dénia

The coordinator of the Creative City of Gastronomy of Shunde, in the province of Canton (China), Fang Li, has spent a month in Dénia to familiarize herself with the different tourist and gastronomic resources of our city and the Marina Alta. It is intended to establish ways of collaboration and future projects between the two UNESCO creative cities on issues such as tourism promotion, joint academic programs in the field of gastronomy, business joint-ventures, etc.

During his stay, Li Fang visited the Valencian Institute of Tourism Technologies in Benidorm, accompanied by chef Evarist Miralles, the CdT Dénia, the Mercat del riurau of Jesús Pobre and La Agència Valenciana del Turisme. He has also met with those responsible for the Biomoscatell project in Poble Nou de Benitatxell. Also, to know firsthand the organization and development of the International Creative Cuisine Contest of the red shrimp of Dénia.

This is the second time the representative of Shunde visit Denia, where already traveled in March 2015, coinciding with the celebration of the failures, accompanied by representatives of the Creative City of Popayán (Colombia). That visit was part of the contacts that Dénia established with other cities in the world already distinguished as Creative Cities of Gastronomy with the aim of establishing lines of collaboration for the presentation of their candidacy. Finally, Dénia was declared the Creative City of the Gastronomy of UNESCO in December of last year.
