In recent times, waves and strong winds have significantly deteriorated the south dock marina of Denia. This is a dike on sloping breakwater, unsurpassable and emerged, which has been displaced and drag of some parts of the main layer exposing at specific points elements secondary layer. To improve their status, the Ministry of Housing, Building and Planning Structuring has announced it will invest EUR 93.915 60 repair meter stretch.
On the part of the conselleria the contracting of the project has already begun, and a term of execution of the works of three months is estimated. The actions will focus on the reconstruction of the main mantle with breakwater of the same dimensions and characteristics as the breakwater existing in the dike. In addition, the breakwater adjacent to the most affected areas will be relocated due to its displacements and the foot of the slope will be reinforced with a support berm.
Also, in the sections where the main parts have been entrained by the waves, technicians have observed a displacement of the contiguous main elements.
