The Department of Universal Health and Public Health has ordered the start of the necessary actions to allow, through the most appropriate legal instrument, the rescue for direct public management of the Department of Health of Dénia-La Marina.
To this end, the Councilor for Health, Ana Barceló, has requested the General Directorate of Health Care, the General Directorate of the High Inspectorate, and the General Directorate of Efficiency and Economic Regime the necessary mandatory reports for the change of the management model .
The Department is based on the conclusions recently adopted by the Audit Committee of the Department of Health of Dénia-La Marina, among which are that "There is no scientific evidence that this (concession) model is more efficient".
The aforementioned commission, approved unanimously by all the parliamentary groups in Les Corts, and of which professional technical representatives, citizen platforms and political groups form part, indicates that the model "neither does it offer nor can it offer equity, and also creates an insurmountable gap between workers in the public health system. The report implies that" the public-private collaboration system was implemented in its day without seeking a social consensus ".
With this resolution signed today is to end a decade of private management and give way to a model of direct public management to ensure equity in the access of citizens to health services in the Department of Health Dénia-La Marina.
