La Colla del Cànter brings together whole families to relive the songs of a lifetime

The Tarara, Anem to Stack, Ets perdiueta, El Pelele... one more year, the songs that we have heard so many times as children and that little by little have been disappearing came to life in Dénia thanks to the emotional concert he offered Colla Canter, a local formation that for some years is an unavoidable part of the celebration of the 9 d'Octubre in Dénia.

This year they presented the concert The Coplas of the Blind, which had the narrative of the iaia paca to his grandchildren about what happened in the villages years ago, where a blind man told stories in exchange for the neighbors to give him a tip. The blind man and his guide appeared through the square and with them began the music.

From there the songs and the memories followed one another. As usual, and to involve the public more, the lyrics of the songs were captured on a screen, allowing the hundreds of attendees to sing with them. Also this year they had several collaborations. The dances were performed by Ballaors de Ondara, Dénia and Xaló, and together with the members of Colla Canter acted the singer of Albalat de la Ribera Lluis Sancho.

The Plaza del Consell was, once again, the perfect setting where the memory of traditional Valencian music gave way to the celebrations of the 9 d'Octubre in Dénia, which today continue with a Dianium Dansa parade starting at 11: 30 from the same square and the concert of the Artistic Musical Association of Dénia with Andreu Valor, which will be held at 20: 00 hours.
