The teams from the quarry of Dénia Básket added a great experience at the same time, which offered a great image and level of play in the national tournament "Costa Blanca Basket Cup", recently celebrated in Benidorm.
The Dianense basketball school had the participation of seven teams in this competition. Formations of the categories ranging from benjamines to cadet were in the capital of Marina Baixa.
Cadet teams performance
The 03 Women's Cadet team with a formidable performance throughout the tournament deservedly reached the grand final in which it yielded not without presenting battle against Juan de Austria of Alcalá de Henares who was just the winner.
The Male Cadet 03, after being first in his previous phase, played a league with the other two group leaders from the competition starting table. In it he obtained a victory and a defeat that gave them a meritorious second place in the Tournament. Juventud Alcalá ended up taking the disputed title by beating their two games.
Great children's tournament
The 05 Men's Boys played the game for the third and fourth places, only conceding in the last moments before Juventud Alcalá by only six points of difference. Great tournament of a generation that grows exponentially in a fundamental year in its formation.
The girls of the 05 Women's Infantile finished fifth with a great effort to count only eight players for the dispute of the event and also not be able to be all present the first day. Undoubtedly a great step forward for the players that will be reflected in the immediate future.
Good level in fingerlings
The Aleman Men 07 team played the game for the seventh and eighth place against a superior Youth of Alcoi to which they also arrived very tired and could not put up much resistance. However the eighth position of 16 teams in the case of a first year group is undoubtedly an excellent result to be satisfied with.
The girls of the Alevin Feminine team 07 were fourth in the 2 level of their category. Fantastic exorience for a Nobel team in federated competitions that takes giant steps every week and that is taking shape to give insurance a great level in the coming seasons.
Fifth place for the youngest
Finally, the Benjamin 08 team finished the Tournament in fifth position although it could have entered perfectly in the final that reached the first of each starting group. A triple tie in that first phase distanced them by basket average from the privileged positions. Great performance of the whole team with excellent response in matches with an even score, gaining experience and giving value to the effort made to participate in an event of this kind.
