The Department of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor, through the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) of the Generalitat Valenciana, has awarded the Dénia City Council a grant of 165.340 euros for the asphalting project of different roads and identification of streets in the polygon Industrial Burrows. The subsidy is part of the call for aid for investment projects for the improvement, modernization and provision of infrastructures and services in polygons, industrial areas and technological enclaves for the year 2021.
The asphalt works will be carried out on roads 1 and 2 at the entrance to the polygon, a part of the Camino de la Bota and the most damaged sections of the Camino de la Plana.
Entrance road 1 in the polygon is the one between the roundabout of the funeral home and the path of the Cemetery and currently has an initial section with the asphalt very deteriorated due to the high load of heavy traffic. From the junction with the Plana road, the state of the road is better because it supports a lower traffic load.
As for entry road 2, the one between the next roundabout in the direction of Dénia and the Cemetery road, also presents very deteriorated areas that must be repaired.
The choice of these main roads that give access to the polygon has been made with the objective that the improvement action benefits the largest number of companies and users that circulate, as specified in the draft drawn up in the municipal Urban Planning area.
The Plana path, especially at the junction with entrance 1 to the polygon, presents the same problems as the entrances to the polygon. In addition, the section of this road that goes towards the Animal Protection Association (APAD), has a very deteriorated central area that hinders road traffic.
The last road included in this project of actions is the Camino de la Bota, the pavement of which presents many deficiencies due to the passage of time and the load of vehicles it supports.
Trade names
On the other hand, the project includes the installation of identification plates of the name of all the streets of the polygon. The streets will be labeled in accordance with the ordinance regulating the naming and labeling of urban roads, and the identification of buildings and homes in the municipality of Dénia, approved in 2016. This ordinance includes the name of streets of the industrial estate indicating that "They must bear names of trades, according to the plenary session of April 28, 2005, among which you can use llander, corretger, pedrapiquer, cadirer, coeter, terrisser, ferrer, forner, painter or enquadernador" among others.
The ordinance also indicates that the names of the Camino de la Bota, Camino de la Plana, Camino de Xàbia and Gata to Dénia, on the way to Saladar and on the way from Pego to Dénia.
Likewise, it establishes that the main street of the polygon, entrance road 1, is called “avinguda dels jogueters”.
The execution period of the actions contemplated is 1 month and the total budget of the project amounts to 208.062,39 euros, of which the Generalitat finances 165.340 euros and the Dénia City Council pays the rest.
