With the month of June, as every year, the theater takes Dénia in the form of Mostra de Teatre Ciutat de Dénia. This year 23 shows years of show, and from the organization have wanted, in addition to extending the days of shows to seven, give opportunity to the nearest people creating a new regional section.
Between the 6 and the 15 of June, you will be 7 the works that are represented in the Social Center of Dénia to the 20: 30 hours on 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 15 days. This year 40 companies from all over the country have submitted to the call, of which the jury, consisting of Vicent Balaguer, Paco Bertomeu, Inma Campos and Antonia Díaz, has selected six that will participate in the Mostra.
The 6 day will open the Mostra La Escola de Teatre de Pego with the work "Metrosexual"; the 7 day will be the group's turn kauen Teatre, by L'Eliana, with the work "Ekilikuà"; On Saturday 8, from Madrid, the group will arrive Maru-Jasp with the work "Women of sand"; Wednesday 12 will be the ETC de Pedreguer the one that represents "Rarus Circus"; on Thursday 13, also from Pedreguer, will arrive Terato Teatre with the work "Torah" and on Friday 14 will act from Valencia the company Flowers Machine Work, that with Tonino Guitián in front will represent the piece "Twelve agents in cars of eight". The closure of the Mostra, on Saturday 15, will be borne by the youth students of the ETC Dénia, who will interpret the work "Estem Penjats."
The entrance to all the works will have a price of 5 euros (3 with Llunàtics, Dinàmics or Retired card), and the profits will go entirely to Cáritas Interparroquial.
The director of the ETC, Mario Pássero, explained that this year there will be again prizes for the best actress, best actor, best direction, prize for the use of Valencian and the best work, which will decide the audience, in addition to a special mention that will be announced at the closing. The trophies will be made by the students of the TAPIS of La Xara.
Pássero placed special emphasis on the importance of using the Mostra de Teatre Ciutat de Dénia as a platform so that the groups of the region can be seen and known beyond their borders.
