The dianense sailors Kiko Peiró and the Teuladino coach Manu Sanz have been summoned for the pre-Olympic preparation of kite Surfing of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation.

The sailors of the Marina Club El Portet are at their best. Although it has not yet been announced that Kite Surf will be an Olympic discipline for the Paris 2024 Games, the Federation is still working towards this course, so it has scheduled a pre-Olympic preparation in Santander from 11 to 18 in October.

Kiko Peiró, at his 15 years, has proven to be a promise in his field, so he will march ready to prove himself before the Federation. On the other hand, Manu Sanz, a native of Moraira and resident in Dénia, attends as national secretary of the Kite Formula. He gave his experience in this sports branch, the director of Marina El Portet, Luis Mira, decided that Sanz was the promoter of a good quarry of athletes who today are professionals or are on their way to being.

It should be noted that Sebastian Ducos had also been summoned in the call, however, due to agenda problems, the Dianense had to decline the invitation.

No less impressive has been the participation of the Valencian Álex Climent, who also plays for the Marina El Portet CD, in the Formula Kite European Championship played at the end of the last table in Italy. Climent managed to be in the top ten in the European competition, he was eighth in the gold classification.

His clubmates, Javier Bernabeu and Óscar Barberá, also obtained good results.
