The Dianense triathlete of cadet category, Joan Puigcerver already has another national title in his pocket. Last Saturday he won the title of Spanish triathlon champion in the time trial and team mode. The competition that was held in the town of Aguilas Murcia served for the Tripuçol revalidated the title won last year.
This training where the Dianense is just two weeks ago achieved the Autonomous Duathlon Championship. In this test they had a first swim segment of 250 meters, a second on the 8 kilometers bike and a last one of the race on a race track of 1 mile. It means that in this modality all the components of the team must go together which really forces the triathletes to measure the rhythm in each of the segments.
We must point out the extradordinary average marked by the Dianense in the race segment where he made an average of 3`01 the kilometer, something really spectacular.
Relay tests
The second part of the competition was in the relay mode, all the components of the team must go together which really forces the triathletes to measure the pace in each of the segments.
Each member of the team should also do the three modalities. First one did it, when it finished the complete test and arrived at boxes the next reliever came out, and so on. In this modality the Dianense team was fourth.
The misfortune was primed in his team since the first reliever had mechanical problems with the bicycle which made him not be able to give all the best of himself. This caused him to surrender the witness - after the run on foot - in position 20ª.
There was nothing left to grit his teeth and the other three companions traced as much as they could (Joan was the second reliever). That great effort and given the high level they have managed to go back up to the fourth position.
