The Magic and Nature company and the Eatim de Jesús Pobre, with the collaboration of Acció Ecologista Agró, started in 2019 the project to reinforce the autochthonous fauna against pests in the agricultural fields of Jesús Pobre.
These are bioindicator species that have seen their population reduced or even disappeared, for which the objective of the project seeks to restore the natural balance of the ecosystem of the rainfed agricultural fields of Jesús Pobre, with autochthonous biopesticide species, "a fact that will imply a differentiating and environmental quality seal for farmers and wineries in this area", they count from the consistory.
The project consists of several phases. The first consists of a hacking or ranching technique. 2019 began with the reintroduction of two specimens, following this 2020 annuity with three other specimens of the Barn Owl. After this, the second phase begins, in which the Department of the Environment and the management company have held a meeting with farmers from Jesús Pobre to sign a joint collaboration, which consists of the construction and placement of nest boxes in the agricultural areas of Jesús Pobre suitable for species such as the owl, the European scops owl, the hawk, the bats and the coppery cuaenlairat, and highlights among these the commonly known as rossarda, present in muscat and olive crops.
Finally, a third phase has been determined, which will consist of the follow-up and monitoring of the actions carried out, and a fourth and final phase, of environmental awareness among citizens through workshops, routes and activities for the whole family.
