30 July 2016 - 00: 02

The life of Pare Pere, one of the most beloved dianenses historically, will star in an opera. It is a booklet written by Lluís Fornés the Sifoner that during 60 pages tells the life of this Franciscan friar who dedicated his life to preach the word of God and settled in a stone hut at the foot of the Montgó.

Presentation opera Pare Pere

Fra Pere the Descalç It finished writing in July 2011, and on August 5 some scenes will be released in the church of Jesús Pobre. The musician and director of the Orchestra of the Marina Alta, Francesc Esteve, has been in charge of putting music to the scenes that will be interpreted thanks to a choir of 20 people, musicians and the performances of Lluís Fornés, the actress Empar Ferrer, and the baritone Sebastià Peris, who will play the protagonist.

To see the whole opera will have to wait, since it is a big show for which the involvement of several municipalities and associations would be necessary.

The world premiere of the fragments of the opera dedicated to Pare Pere will mark the beginning of the festivities of Jesús Pobre in honor of the poet Ben Al-Labbana that will include the trip to the three mills on Saturday 6 in August, at 20: 00 hours ; the Festa del Farolet in the riurau on Friday 19 of August; a concert on Friday 26 of August tribute to Lluis Llach and the Festa de l'Escaldà on the 28 Sunday of August with which this year's programming will end.
