For several years, the Eatim de Jesús Pobre has been claiming and managing the arrival of fiber optics in its local area, being a continuous neighborhood demand based on the same problem of lack of investment or profitability for smaller population centers and areas assimilated to the environment rural.
With the latest advances in telecommunication, fiber optics has been managed for its arrival in Jesús Pobre from Gata de Gorgos, as well as its deployment through surface wiring in the urban case, and through signal antennas for dissemination.
With these advances, the fiber optic service reaches 600 megabytes in the urban area, and up to 300 megabytes in the disseminated area, which will allow the arrival of internet to homes hitherto unthinkable in areas of digital shade, and greater broadband and stability for the entire population, which on average only accessed between 3 and 12 megabytes.
After a call and informative meeting with the residents of Jesús Pobre on the viability, deployment and characteristics of the service, since last February until today the installation of equipment and the deployment of fiber optics has been carried out, reaching A key moment is this service to Jesús Pobre, now more essential than ever within confinement and the state of alarm, thus enabling teleworking, and new opportunities for the local economy, businesses and self-employed workers of Jesús Pobre.
With the initial rollout, there is already a demand for 80 hires, of which 75% have already been installed. As for the dissemination, and in particular the departure from Los Lagos, its installation is expected in the next 15 days, with the delivery of the particular antenna system.
Eatim recommends that any questions or information about the service, contact the City Council for referral to the telecommunications company.
