Jesús Jiménez and Eduardo Pérez were the winners of the 'XIV Travesía a nado Sant Roc'

The swimmers, Jesús Jiménez, winner in the test of the 1.500 meters and Eduardo Pérez, winner in the 5.000 were the protagonists of the “XIV Crossing by swimming Sant Roc". A test organized jointly by the Dénia Swimming Club And the Mayorals of Sant Roc. The swimming club took care of the technical part of the test while the Mayorals did the logistics. Both came out perfectly and the test was a success.

The sporting event brought together more than 300 swimmers from all over Spain and even beyond, as the prize for the participant arrived from further away was for a Chilean.

The sporty morning on the beach Els Molins started with the 1.500 meter test. The first to come out of the sea was Jesús Jiménez, from the Valencian Swimming Club, his record was 20.04. The second place went to, Xavier Martínez, from the Club Natació Aquàtic Marines with a mark of 21.40. The third classified was Nicolás Krüger, from the Club Natació Aquàtic Les Marines, with a time of 21.47. All three swimmers are in the junior category.

In women the first to reach goal was, Alicia Baxauli, Barracudas Torrent, with a record of 23.27. The second place was for, Esther Moreno of the 360Team, that realized a time of 24.18. The third position was for, Vanessa Ortega, Independiente, who employed a time of 24.29.

Tight finish on 5.000 test

Subsequently, the 5.000 test was scored for the Circuit of Open Waters of the Valencian Community. A journey that was exciting until the end as two swimmers fought for victory to the same finish line. The winner was Eduardo Pérez, of the Tennis Club Chamartin, his time was of 1.11.23, in front of, Vicente Alonso, of the Club Swimming Master Morvedre, that realized a mark of 1: 11.28 and of, Héctor Soler, of the Swimming Club Morvedre, that Used a time of 1: 15.45.

In women the best was Eliana Sotelo, from the CD Aguaviva Benidorm, who reached goal in a time of 1: 16.01. The second place was for, Andrea Fos, Mortes Bike, which made a record of 1: 19.18. The third place was for, Yaiza Grimaldos, of the Club Swimming Master Morvedre, with a time of 1: 20.10.
