January 27 from 2020 - 12: 10

This morning, the President of the Party of the Valencian Community, Isabel Bonig, has visited, together with the representatives of the municipal group of Dénia, the damage that the maritime storm caused last week on the beach of Les Deveses.

There he has met with some neighbors to hear how they have lived through Gloria and how it has affected their homes. In its visit, the popular has told the media that the PP will require, through motions in each town hall, that the Government declare the emergency and catastrophe zone in the Valencian Community and a series of emergency works are undertaken. The Holy Week season starts in 2 months, so the PP asks to invest in reconstruction as soon as possible.

About Les Deveses, Bonig has stated that "is one of the beaches of the Valencian coast that have suffered the most from the consequences of the last storm that, unfortunately, is happening and hitting the community ". "We are not going to do tragedy policy but the time has come when we have to undertake facts and actions. In 2018, absolutely nothing was invested in the Valencian coast, in 2019 they were only spent and executed in the province of Alicante 250000 euros ", said the President of the Popular Party.

It has also demanded that the government of Puig expedite the subsidies to be able to solve the damage. "In the declarations of climatic emergency, which we are going to fight, which is a fundamental axis… We all agree. Well, some of them don't, but anyway, we are not going to pay attention to that minority. What we have to start doing is execute, because if we do not protect with breakwaters, with contributions of rock, sand, with channeling of rivers, of ramblas (in the case of the Vega Baja), we will not solve the problem ", Bonig said.
