In these 10 years, they have treated patients from our region, from neighboring regions, from adjacent provinces, extending their services to patients from other European countries and even from the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Australia. What was initially created to cover an existing demand in our region ended up being successful outside our borders. This is due to the fact that the legislation in other countries is more restrictive, to the good results of the reproduction techniques applied in the clinic, and of course to the beauty and climate of our environment.
En IREMA They have an international department to attend to patients of other languages. They currently serve their patients in the following languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Swedish and Finnish, as well as Spanish and Valencian. Its staff is in charge of coordinating patient travel and facilitating accommodation and transportation from Valencia and Alicante airports, mainly.
IREMA It opened its doors in May 2005 inside the Hospital Acuario in Beniarbeig. With the passage of time they have been incorporating advances and improvements. In 2009, they opened their own facilities in front of the hospital, with a larger laboratory and facilities dedicated exclusively to assisted reproduction. In 2010 they incorporated a new technique, the IMSI, a microscope that allows the sperm to be seen at a size of about 6000 magnification, and thus be able to choose the most suitable for fertilization. That same year they also incorporated embryo vitrification (quick freezing), with which they achieved survival rates of more than 90% after thawing and excellent pregnancy rates.
Subsequently, they wanted to improve quality in all their processes, and embarked on obtaining the ISO 9001 certification by Aenor, which after many efforts, they achieved at the end of 2014.
They performed all the assisted reproduction techniques to be able to respond to all their patients: fertility study in women and men, artificial insemination, artificial insemination with donor sperm, in vitro fertilization, ICSI, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (study of the embryos before implantation), the ROPA technique (Reception of eggs from the couple), preservation of male and female fertility, and other associated techniques. (PICSI, MACS, ...)
IREMA It also has a semen bank, which as of this year they are strengthening, to meet the needs of their patients and other clinics in our country, with which they have agreements. Semen donation is an altruistic gesture, but it allows financial compensation to cover travel and other inconveniences.
Of course also they perform oocyte donation, with which young women can help women whose eggs are no longer fit to be fertilized, or have an early menopause, or are elderly. As in sperm donation, there is also financial compensation for the donor.
And on the other hand they also continue with their teaching activity. In IREMA They currently have agreements with the University of Valencia, with the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and with the University of Murcia, as well as with different vocational training institutes, thus helping to train future assisted reproduction professionals.
