August 26 from 2013 - 00: 00

Intersindical Salut denounced last week that the company that manages health in the Marina Alta, Marina Salud, is not replacing professionals who go on vacation or those who are off work. According to their data, in the months of July and August, of the 21 doctors that the Dénia Health Center has, only 7 have passed consultation, creating waiting lists that reach 11 days so that the patients are granted an appointment.

Intersindical Calp also explained that the situation is similar, since the 11 doctors that account population, currently only five pass query.

Thus, in the Marina Alta region during the summer, when quadruples its population, the number of physicians descended from 32 to 12. When during daily nursing shift is covered by seven professionals, today there are four that cover it.

Salut Intersindical members explained that two nurses cover care in homes, one controls the Sintrom and one is responsible for performing all blood draws.

In this situation, Intersindical adds the pressure to which professionals are subjected due to the lack of human resources due to both the work load and the misunderstandings generated with patients.

I am glad that someone echoes this news, just a clarification, it has taken me more than 20 days to call me to make an appointment after I insisted several days since it was set as urgent according to my doctor and after waiting 20 days I have to wait another 20 to be seen, I have the appointment in September, and this "speed" because my doctor put me as urgent (at the hospital they told me that a test was not urgent but a priority in which the detection time is primordial) and he told me that if in ten days they had not called me to call me and go to the hospital for patient care.
