19 September 2017 - 16: 05

The cyclists of the team UC Montgó-ULB come from disputing several tests in the whole national territory in an intense weekend that has left important results.

Quadruple podium in Bengànim

Great performance of the Cycling Team UCMontgó-ULB in the 6ª Test scoring the Circuit BTT de les Comarques Centrals held on Sunday morning in Benigànim.

The runners again managed to get on the podium, both Ayda Parra and Alejandro Seguí in First and Second position in the respective categories.

Ayda achieves with this victory to be placed in the first position of the General Classification in the Elite Female category. For his part, Alejandro achieves the second place in the test of the Master 40 category which in turn supposes him to yield the leadership of the General Classification that passes again into the hands of Dani Cepa.

Also stand out the victories in their respective categories of Jordi Seguí and Raquel Perez in the modality of schools.

North Face Enduro Vall d'Aràn

The North Face Enduro Series Val d'Aràn Race was held over the weekend in Vielha and Robin Bramley-Moore moved there.

The arrival on the circuit on Friday was already cold and rain as companions for later days, highlighting the mud as a great protagonist. On Saturday, training began with the sun, but as soon as the qualifying test began, a flood followed that led to the "secret path" becoming a complicated but fun quagmire. The result Robin was a second place in the Master 30 category.

On Sunday facing the main race with the sun out but temperatures around the 2º in the first hour began the special 4 racing through the forest with the mud inevitably as the main protagonist again.

The summary of the timed sections for Robin were:

#TC1 got good results.
#TC2 downhill of great slope with a lot of time under the bike wasted time.
#TC3 fast and short marking very good time and cutting positions to the opponents.
#TC4 funny layout interrupted by the stumbling tree that supposed a fall.

In spite of the incident in the TC4, Robin managed to finish the test as 2º Master 30 of the General Final Classification to only 2 tenths of the winner.

Championship of Spain of Road in Colindres

Good performance on Sunday afternoon in Colindres of our runner Javi Almela next to the team of the Valencian Selection in the Master 30 category; Jose Francisco Arce, José Luís Ruiz and Pedro José López.

In a race that was very difficult to start, an early flight was formed a few kilometers from the start of the race that was gradually set and made difficult the aspirations of our team for the race.

The incessant rhythm of the escape consisting of 9 runners and the lack of collaboration with the Squad Teams increased the distance of the escapees to reach a maximum of 2 "of the squad in the 39th round of the 5 totals.

The four runners of the National Team interposed a strong rhythm in the head of the squad that was soon backed by two teams with interests in neutralizing the escape, getting in just over a lap and a half to reduce the lead by 2 'and getting to the escape goal to only 19 ".

The work was partially rewarded when Pedro José López interfered in the front of the peloton and achieving the 12ª race position and TOP TEN of the 30B Master category with the 8º put, a good result for the Team before the frantic pace and coordination that He showed the flight throughout the entire race.

The runners traveled the 114 km of the test in 2h 38 '30 "with an average speed of 42'8 km / h which denotes a high pace throughout the race.
