A man of English nationality was admitted seriously wounded in the Hospital de Dénia after receiving three stabs with the remains of a glass beer bottle during the course of a fight in a bar in Moraira. The man received two stabs in the side and one in the leg, and was rushed to the local hospital, where he remains admitted with serious prognosis.
The events took place last Saturday, 28 October, in a bar in the town of Moraira. Several people were injured of different consideration when declaring a massive fight to which a patrol of the Civil Guard went.
At that time could not stop anyone since their arrival the authors escaped, but after several days of investigations, the Civil Guard found the main suspects: a Colombian man 45 years and a Dominican 41.
Once they are taken to official offices to take a statement, the agents are able to clarify what happened, and they even find conclusive evidence of each one's participation in what happened. The investigation has revealed that, that same night, the Briton had a discussion of traffic quite heated with several people, among which were the now detained and his Dominican companion.
Hours later, that same night, they all met again in the vicinity of a cocktail bar in the town of Moraira, starting again a discussion for the reasons mentioned above, which led to a great brawl in which they came to participate at least 7 people.
In the course of it were injured several of them, kicking and punches but was, at a time of the fight, when the man of Colombian nationality broke a bottle of beer, and nailed it on three occasions to the British.
During the investigations, the agents found a recording made with the detainee's mobile phone, in which everything that happened could be verified. For this reason, the Civil Guard detained the man of Colombian nationality, as alleged perpetrator of a crime of serious injuries by a knife, and is investigating the other two. The British as alleged perpetrator of a crime of injuries caused to the Dominican, and the latter as alleged perpetrator of a crime of minor injuries from bruises caused to two other participants in the brawl.
The detainee was transferred yesterday from the premises of the Civil Guard in Moraira and placed at judicial disposal that has decreed his release.
