February 10 from 2020 - 09: 54

The new National Atlas of Mortality in Spain, by the Fisbao Foundation and the General Directorate of Public Health of the Generalitat Valenciana, collects data on almost 10 million deaths between 1989 and 2014. In this work, whose main author is the statistical Miguel Ángel Martínez Beneito, the great differences between the different geographical points of Spain are shown.

In Dénia, according to the data collected in this work, there is a high risk of osteoporosis and pathological fracture, other ischemic heart diseases, myocardial infarction, endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases, traffic accidents, cirrhosis and other chronic liver diseases and Alzheimer's

In addition, it highlights the poisoning accidents by psychoactive drugs and drugs of abuse, a fact that places the city among the 100 municipalities that suffer the most risk from this disease in Spain. Another alarming fact is that of suicide or self-inflicted injuries, placing men as the seventh cause of death.

On the other hand, unlike other Spanish municipalities, in Dénia there is a low risk of intestinal vascular disease, respiratory failure, organic mental disorders, senile and presenil, as causes of death.
