The increase in prizes will make the 'XXIV Orysol ITF Futures Tournament' have better players

Tracks Dénia Tennis Club Welcomes this week the beginning of "XXXIV Orisol ITF Futures International Tennis Tournament", A classic event for the young promises of world tennis.

The great novelty of this edition is the increase in cash prizes, from 10.000 $ to 25.000 $. In addition, of the increase of ATP points, the winner will add 27, for the 15 of previous seasons, it makes that players with better classification go to the same one.

The longest-lasting tournament of promises played on national territory will be held from 15 to 23 in July in Denia. The preliminary phase of the tournament will begin on 15 day and will be played in the morning and afternoon. The total participation of players is of 88, counting in the previous phase with the participation of 64 of them. They will go to the final phase the eight best, completing a final table of 32 players.

The final phase will be played from 18 to 23 in July, and will consist of the 20 registered players with the best ranking, 8 players classified in the previous phase and 4 wild cards (guests). These invitations to play the final phase are used for young players with projection or level players who have not previously registered to participate in the tournament.

In addition to the individual test the doubles mode is disputed, from the 17 to the 22 of July with a total of 16 pairs. In this test the thirteen pairs with better ranking and 3 wild cards (invitations) participate.

The final of the double test is played on Saturday 22 in July and the individual on Sunday 23 in July, as reported tournament director Derek Petken.

Tournament presentation

The social lounge of the Dénia Tennis Club hosted the presentation of the "XXXIX Orysol ITF Futures International Tennis Tournament", "City of Denia Trophy" . A competition well known for racket sport fans.

During the presentation that was attended by the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, the mayor of sports, Mariam Tamarit and the president of the Tennis Club Dénia, Vicente Devesa who was surrounded by its board of directors, once again highlighted the importance of this tournament for the city of Dénia.

Devesa thanked the support received and said that, "Without municipal support and sponsors it would be impossible for the club to organize a tournament of these characteristics, which is why we are very grateful to them for their unconditional support".

The mayor, Vicent Grimalt said that "We will always be supporting these kinds of sporting events that are so attractive to the city. Being almost 40 years celebrating this competition is significant and speaks very well of your way of organizing".

The councilor of sports, Marian Tamarit, stated that "This type of competitions encourage tourism in the city and that is why it comes in very well to promote it. We will be next to you giving the maximum of support, since your work to improve every day forces us to it".
