Illa announces Christmas measures: less curfew and more people per meeting

02 December 2020 - 19: 15

The Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, has appeared at a press conference to announce the measures agreed to Christmas to curb the coronavirus pandemic. In this case, they are rather restriction relief measures in some cases to be able to enjoy more permissive parties.

The ministry and the different autonomous communities have agreed that between December 23 and January 6 the restrictions between the different regions will be maintained with one important exception: when it is to attend a family gathering.

In addition, it is confirmed that the curfew will be delayed until 01:30 and family gatherings are extended to up to 10 people, but only on the Christmas holidays. These are December 24, 25 and 31, and January 1.

The agreement has been taken, according to the minister, after a broad consensus of all the communities that have agreed with these measures.
