"Les arrels de la clothing in nostra festa" Is the name under which the I Cultural Days organized by the Local Board Fallera of Dénia that will begin next Saturday 14 of January. That day, at 20 hours, will be inaugurated the exhibition of Valencian clothing by Álvaro Moliner and Carmen Asins, a sample of fabrics from the Vives and Marí silk shop and a photographic archive of more than 69 years of falleras in Dénia.
The Symposium will be complemented by talks to be held in the premises of the Pòsit (C / Pintor Llorens, 12). On January 19 the first talk will take place, which will take by title "Fallero monuments and new technologies"; On Thursday 26, new talk on "The art of pyrotechnics"; The 2 of February the protagonists will be "Falleras Mayores, a year of reign", and the February 9 will be the last talk that will be about "Fallera clothing".
President of the Local Board Fallera, Jaume Bertomeu, hopes that this is the first of many events that help spread the history of the most deeply rooted party in our society. Maite Madrid, delegate of events of the Board and director of the exhibition, explained that the exhibition will be divided into three thematic blocks: fabrics, costumes and suits of Falleras Mayores de Denia, from the year 1949.
