Hospital HLA San Carlos de Denia expands its portfolio of services and joined Dr. Rosa Ferrer for her new specialty in Hematology. Dr. Ferrer, who has an experience of more than 35 years, belongs to the Spanish Society of Hematology and Hemotherapy (SEHH).
As highlighted from the hospital center, onco-hematological diseases are the second cause of death and hospitalization in Western countries. Although hematological tumors are not the most prevalent, research in this field has led to the development of molecular targets that have modified the treatment of other tumors.
The reinforcement of the consultation of Hematology, is part of a process of renovation of the Dianense hospital of HLA, which has recently launched a Unit for the functional study of the esophagus, and whose Breast Unit expanded its offer with a prevention test of the breast cancer
