There will be a new court in Dénia, but it will wait

November 17 from 2019 - 10: 23

Mayor, Vicent Grimalt, And Council Óscar Mengual i Javier ScottoThey have met with the Director General of Justice, Verónica López, to discuss the commissioning of the Court of 1.ª Instance number 6 of Dénia and other services under the Department of Justice. The director general confirmed the forecast to create this new court while advancing that it is not contemplated in the budgets of 2020, so we will have to wait, at least, for the next year.

At the meeting, which was also attended by the president of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, Pilar de la Oliva, and the dean judge of Dénia, Marisa Fayos, raised the possibility of taking advantage of the space provided to locate the sixth court to put into operation in Dénia a psychosocial cabinet and a comprehensive assessment unit for victims of gender-based violence, which would prevent people involved moving to Alicante, as is currently done.

It was also noted that when the Court No. 6 is launched, it can be assessed that the psychosocial cabinet and the integral assessment unit share space with the new Family Meeting Point at the Gavilá Ferrer Brothers Street.

The Director General will transfer all these proposals to the Minister Gabriela Bravo so that they will materialize in an upcoming visit in the city.
