The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent GrimaltHas held his first official meeting with the managing director of the Health Department Dénia, Ángel Giménez, in the Hospital de Dénia.
In the meeting, which was also attended by the Councilor for Health, Cristina Morera, Grimalt been exposed to the manager Marina Health aspects of healthcare that raise the main demands of citizens and already informed the Regional Minister for Universal Health and Public Health, Carmen Stack, at the meeting held last 20 August in Valencia.
Among these issues, the mayor has referred to the lack of referral of patients from the region to Hospital Acute and Extended Stay (HACLE) of La Pedrera, the problem of queues at the emergency department of the Hospital of Denia and lack of substitutes to cover medical headlines holidays during the summer months.
The mayor of Dénia hopes to address all these issues in an upcoming Xarxa d'Alcaldes de la Marina Alta which is also expected to be attended by the Minister Carmen Montón and the Director General of High Sanitary Inspection, María Luisa Roselló.
