The newly erected wall of the La Vía street will soon change its physiognomy. The Department of Youth of the City of Denia has convened a new edition of UrbaJove, The contest of graffiti that was born with the aim of promoting and giving participation to creators of graffiti and urban art of quality as means of cultural and artistic expression.
The next 5 in August, from 18 hours to 01: 30 at dawn, participants will be able to work their creations on a section of the wall that falls on the street La Via delimited by the organization.
You can participate in "UrbaJove" older artists of 14 years. Registration is free and can be done from today, 13 from July, to the 1 of August. Registration forms can be collected at the offices of Youth (Ronda Murallas, 42) or downloaded from the website of the council (www.aulasdenia.es), where you can also consult the complete rules of the competition.
The theme of the work has to be related to the world of young people. The works will be original and unpublished and will not admit works that have irreverent, obscene, xenophobic content or any other that threatens the dignity of the people. Likewise, the works will have to refer only to drawings, gifs, images or texts, not being considered as such the signatures or the tags.
All applicants must submit, together with the registration form, an outline of the work to be performed, which must be in color and on A4 measure paper or paperboard.
The sprays and caps will be delivered by the organization and will correspond to all equally in number and color range. The participating people will have to adapt their sketches and works to these colors, being able to add all those that they consider opportune by their account and position.
The approximate surface they will have to do their work will be 2'45 meters high by 5 meters wide and the order of distribution of space will be decided by the jury.
Among all the sketches submitted to the contest, a jury composed of qualified professionals and staff of the City of Dénia will select the five participants that the next 5 in August will be their work on Calle La Via. These five selected artists will receive an award from 150 Euros each.
