The municipal group of Gent of Dénia has expressed "absolute rejection" of the new location for the summer fair, "since it is a residential area with all the houses inhabited in July and August." This has been stated by the municipal formation after visiting the area of Avenida Miguel Hernández, after know the neighborhood unrest as published by this medium.
The statement issued by Gent de Dénia states that "even if it is a private plot, the City Council in its municipal ordinances, must make the rest of people prevail over activities incompatible with it, and in this case we are convinced that such activity, Due to the proximity to the houses, the decibel level it reaches, the overcrowding in an area that already has a lot of traffic, the danger it poses for pedestrians and for many other reasons, it is incomprehensible that the attractions are already being mounted without the intervention of the City Council ".
Gent de Dénia has indicated that in addition to denouncing it publicly, "we have presented this morning, by registration, a request for the municipal ordinances to be applied rigorously, taking into account citizen coexistence and so many factors that in our opinion prevent the granting of this license at such location ".
The ediles of GD urge the mayor and the Interior Councilor to take urgent measures "to avoid this incomprehensible situation" since "before attending to said license request, from the department, they had to
have contacted the company to promote another location less aggressive with the public ".
