GDCU proposes the appointment of adoptive son of Dénia Dr. Terence de las Aguas

El grupo Gent of Dénia-Centre Unificat has proposed to the Dénia City Council that the file be initiated to appoint, posthumously, Dr. Terencio de las Aguas, Adoptive Son of Dénia.

Dr. Terence de las Aguas 30 died last November at the age of 89 years after a long career that placed him among one of the world's leading experts on the disease of leprosy. Born in Valencia, his career was focused on Sanitarium Fontilles, and their habitual residence and his passion for Dénia led him to feel like a Dianense, where he ended up as Director of Dermatological Dispensary Dénia in 1961, displaying it in Any part of the world.

highlighted in the proposal submitted by GDCU that "His professional career includes many publications, research and studies around leprosy, but his extensive curriculum includes his appointment as Medical Director of the Hospital Sanatorio de Fontilles from 1968 to 1999 and appointed expert in leprosy by the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1968 and subsequently re-elected in 1999 ".
