Gasterra organizes a Conference on Gastronomy and Nutrition in the CDT of Dénia

The University of Alicante from its Center of Gastronomy of the Mediterranean UA-Dénia GASTERRA has organized the I Conference on Gastronomy and Nutrition: Dialogue between chefs and dieticians nutritionists which will take place on May 31.

A good group of nutrition, dietetics and catering professionals meet in Dénia to analyze the importance of educating on healthy lifestyles and of influencing the need to promote a diet that fits the 5S: healthy, sustainable , satisfactory, social and safe.

Through round tables and presentations, experts in gastronomy and food will shed topics such as The current situation of food in the communities: schools, hospitals and geriatric, From the garden to the plate: a path towards sustainability y How to promote healthy gastronomy.

The presentation that opens the day entitled Cooking made us human will be the responsibility of Almudena Villegas, author of several gastronomic publications, winner of the 2001 national award for Research in Gastronomy, member of the Royal Academy of Gastronomy, the Network of Excellence of Researchers of the European Institute of Food History and the Andalusian Academy of gastronomy and tourism.

The prestigious chefs María José San Román (Monastrell Restaurant), César Anca (César Anca Group), José Antonio Sánchez (Finca Villa Antonia), Pep Romaní (Pont Sec), Evarist Miralles (The Nou Cavall Verd), also participate in the conference. as well as the confectioner Raúl Asensio (bakery Raul Asensio).
