The foxtrot Juan and Josefa Palonés PHRASES captivates the jury DéniaBaila 2017

A pace foxtrotJuan phrases and Josefa Palonés I contest winners proclaimed DéniaBaila 2017, A dance contest for over 60 years organized by the Department of the Mayor who heads Elisabet Cardona.

Last Saturday, the auditorium of the Social Center of Dénia hosted this contest, presented by Mario Passero, in which three couples participated. The jury was integrated by María Rubio, actress and theater teacher; Mayte Ortolá, dancer and director of the dance school Babylon de Dénia; Pepa Ginestar, broadcaster of Radio Dénia SER and Alexis Tellez Agüero, professor of Latin dances.

Juan and Josefa took a tablet each for the deserved first prize. The second prize went to Felisa Blázquez and José Antonio Olivares, who danced a paso doble, and the third for Marina Elena Porro and Brian Christopher Baker, who competed with chachachá.

To liven up the contest, the public could enjoy the performances of the winners of Intergenerational Festival of Song FIC 2016, Marta Perelló (children category) and Andrea Soto (Youth). Also the councilor took the floor and gave way to a video with images of the activities that the six contestants performed in the pre-gala weeks: dance lessons, meetings with the aesthetic advisor Miguel Ángel Ivars, who advised them about their clothing for the day of the contest, and Noemí Fornas, responsible for hairdressing Social Center, which advised them about the hairstyle; visiting Loles Brito Academy, where they received tips on makeup for acting, and living day spent in the CdT Dénia.
