The Dénia Jazz Festival will end on Thursday 24 in August with the performance of Celia Mur Quintet. The audience will attend a session of jazz fusion with Latin rhythms, samba and bossa nova with the singer Celia Mur, who will offer a repertoire of the Brazilian composer Roberto Menescal with arrangements by the Valencian vibraphonist Arturo Serra.
Tickets to the festival can now be purchased at a price of 12 euros at the Instanticket online sales channel and at the outlets at the Ale-Hop stores in Calle Marques de Campo And the shopping center Portal de la Marina, in the Hotel Chamarel (Cavallers street, 13), in OK Sofas (Heading Madrigueres Nord, industrial estate) and in the restaurant El Faro of the Cervantes esplanade of Denia. Also, concert days will sell tickets at the box office from 20 hours, at a price of 15 euros.
Parallel activities
The concert days will be performances at street level in various points of the city - the Marqués de Campo square, Drassanes square, Mariana Pineda square, Plaza del Consell, Calle La Mar, Loreto street, Calle Cavallers and the esplanade Cervantes, between 11 and 20 hours, by the musicians who make up Denia Swing Serenades.
At snack time, from 13 to 14 hours, the Vermut & Jazz sessions will be held at the Chamarel hotel, with the live performance of Randy Greer (days 3 and 17 in August) and The Three Deuces, training in which the Enric Peidro himself. Access to these "Vermouth & Jazz" sessions is priced at 5 euros and will be free for people presenting the concert ticket that will be held that same day in the Torrecremada gardens.
Likewise, the days of concert will be given classes of initiation to the dance lindy hop in the House of Culture of Dénia, from 18.30 to 19.30 hours. Ana Oliete and Rubén Atienza, teachers of the school La Marina Lindy Hop, will be in charge of introducing participants to the rhythms of this dance that was born in the 20 years in New York City. The registration fee is free for those who present the ticket to the concert that will be held that day and 5 euros for other interested parties.
Each day of the concert, Torrecremada Park will open its doors to the 20: 00 hours to accommodate lindy hop exhibitions, foodtrucks with traditional local gastronomy dishes and drinks bar that will allow the public to enjoy the environment during the hours before The concerts, which will begin at 23 hours.
This program is completed by the interactive photographic exhibition JazzTK Big Band by Álex García, which will be installed at the Dénia Culture House from 3 to 24 in August. The ilicitano Álex García shows a photographic gallery of jazz musicians arranged as if it were a big band. Each printed photograph has a QR code that allows the viewer, through his mobile device, to access more information about the image and the musician and to listen to him playing his instrument.
