'Stretch out your hand' offered special food to 59 people in need on Christmas Day

The asociación Stretch out your hand, Social arm of the Evangelical Church Trinitat de Dénia offered last Friday December 25 its already traditional food of Christmas for a total of 59 users of the soup kitchen.

This activity is just one of many that the association carried out during the year in aid of the poorest people of the city. Not surprisingly, an average of 80 people a day benefit from the social area, thanks to receiving daily and free complete and balanced through a menu consisting of a starter meal, main course and dessert.

The soup kitchen of the Evangelical Church is open Monday through Friday during business hours 13: 15 14 to hours on the street Patricio Ferrándiz, No. 30 of Denia. José Vicente Gilabert, responsible for the Social Dining Room, affirms that "our main objective is to offer welcome from the affection and respect to any person who approaches us requesting something as necessary as food."

Both special Christmas meal as services are offered daily are possible thanks to the collaboration of volunteers who prepare the dining room and food, as well as companies and individuals with their financial contribution, help and solidarity with this service those most in need.

The profile of users of social dining has changed, as currently the 84% of them are Spanish with limited resources, social marginalization, neglect and various social problems.
