'The Great Donation' organized on May 11 and 12 by the shopping center Portal de la Marina in collaboration with the Transfusion Center of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Ondara City Council, breaks a record with a total of 205 donations. Thanks to all the neighbors and neighbors of the Marina Alta, the 'The Great Donation' campaign, has been a complete success, far exceeding expectations.
According to data from the transfusion center, 205 people came to the mall to donate blood, and of those, 40 were new donors. This figure is considered a success, in fact, such was the influx that many volunteers were left without donating despite the efforts of the CTCV, which ended an hour later than planned. For this reason, the Transfusion Center is studying to carry out the next blood donation marathon, extending it to 3 days, to give the largest number of people the opportunity to donate.
To mobilize donors, Portal de la Marina carried out an intense communication campaign with the aim of breaking the record in recent years, giving away movie tickets to each volunteer and raffling various prizes from the Ondara City Council among donors (4 local meat product trade awards and Ondara wineries).
