22 September 2020 - 12: 33

Agents of the National Police in response to the continuous complaints of neighbors and merchants in a central street in the town of Dénia, about the behavior shown by the occupants of a usurped home, have managed to get this person to voluntarily leave the property that some weeks had occupied. For this, it has counted, from the beginning, and at all times with the collaboration of the City Council and its municipal services.

A 29-year-old man had decided to enter the house that was owned by a deceased man and whose heirs had not wanted to take over. From that moment, the neighborhood complaints were constant as well as
those of the merchants in the area, which were collected by the agents through the Operational Response Group.

After several requests to the National Police, the agents of the Denia Police Station Response Task Force managed to get the young man to leave the house where he had hardly any belongings.

From the first moment, to guarantee the result, the municipal authorities were contacted, with the mayor responding immediately, in order to provide an optimal solution and to avoid subsequent occupations, in such a way that the necessary means were provided to block off the access to the property.

Workers from the electricity company also came to the place, after the request of the National Police, to disconnect the light in the house, which was connected illegally, thus avoiding future electrical accidents.

All these actions come from the instructions issued by the State Attorney General's Office to unify criteria of action of the Public Ministry regarding the raids and usurpations of real estate that take place and that are developed in Instruction 2/2020 of the SES by the that a protocol of action of the State Security Forces and Bodies is established before the illegal occupation of buildings.

On the part of the Dénia Commissioner in collaboration with the Town Hall of the town, different action plans have been established to address the different complaints from neighborhood associations and merchants in order to immediately respond to their concerns and structure a communication channel fast, fluid and reciprocal, to comprehensively solve the social problem that affects housing occupation.

The agents ended their intervention with the full identification of the author, giving an account of what happened to the competent investigation group to continue with the appropriate steps in this type of incident.
