Eva Cabrera Tormo, the artist who best captured the dianense cuisine on a canvas

The painter Eva? Cabrera Tormo rose last Sunday, 10 in June, with the first prize of the V Rapid Painting Competition Ciutat de Dénia. About thirty artists participated in this call, whose central theme was gastronomy.

Eva Cabrera, with a design with Dénia prawn as the protagonist, took the 1.000 euros of the award. The second prize, endowed with 500 euros, was for Mª Teresa Durá Sepulcre and the third, with a grant of 300 euros, for the work of José Luis Angulo Crosa.

In the category of best work painted by a local artist, the winner was Malcon Jones, who received the prize of a trip for two to Formentera, sponsored by Baleària. Fernando Seguí won the prize for the best artist in the region, endowed with a lot of paintings valued at 100 euros, courtesy of Marina Color. A total of 30 artists participated in the contest.

El V Rapid Painting Competition Ciutat de Dénia is organized by the ADAMA association in collaboration with the council of painting of the City of Dénia. The jury of this fifth edition of the contest was formed by Rafa Carrió, Councilor for Culture; Joan Castejón, artist, painter and sculptor; Vicent Morales, painter and Javier Ruiz, president of the Association of Artists of the Marina Alta (ADAMA).

The winning works of the contest can be visited, until the June 30, in the lobby of the first floor of the Municipal House of Culture.
