EUPV disseminates patient referral protocols to La Pedrera

EUPV has released this morning the protocols bypass patients Hospital de Dénia the Hospital and Long Term Care stays of La Pedrera. In order to facilitate the discharges and promote transparency between the centers, the following procedures were defined: identification of the patients in PUA situation (pending placement once the discharge was received), the reallocation of the assistance program, the authorization of ambulatory care in "Acquired Brain Damage Program" and the definition of valid interlocutors between the centers.

Typology of patients

Regarding the patients that can enter the Pedrera, the Consellería defined four types. Those people with an acute process or decompensation of a chronic disease that require clinical or rehabilitative cures aimed at regaining their level of autonomy, those who suffer acute brain damage with multiple deficits and who require cures or rehabilitation aimed at recovering a sufficient level of autonomy. Also those patients with a progressive worsening of a previous disease that require attention or control to adapt to their new situation and in which no significant improvement is expected. And in fourth the terminal patients who need attention and that this can not be administered at home.
