Students of Bergen carry out cooking practices in Dénia

A group of students and a tutor teacher from the Norwegian city of Bergen have spent a week in Dénia doing cooking practices and getting to know the traditions and gastronomic methods of the Marina Alta. The stay is part of the program Erasmus + Youth4Food: Youth in Action (Young people for a creative and sustainable gastronomy) that in the last months are developing five cities of the network of Creative Cities of UNESCO, among which Dénia.

In the exchanges between the cities are participating students and teachers of the IES Maria Ibars, who have acted as hosts. The practices have been done in the CdT. In the coming weeks Dénia will receive other groups from Östersund (Sweden), Parma (Italy) and Gazantiep (Turkey).

Accompanied by IES teachers Maria Ibars Marisa Ballester, Jaume Ginestar and Vicente Almela, who are actively participating in the exchanges and coordination of the program, the Norwegian delegation has visited the Town Hall and has been received by the mayor, Vicent Grimalt.
