This Sunday, like every last Sunday of January, Dénia celebrates the festivity of Santa Paula. The program of activities will begin at 12:00 in the morning, with the concentration of devotees in the parish of San Miguel to begin the pilgrimage at 12:15 hours. Upon arriving at the hermitage, traditional joys will be sung and the image worshiped.
A las 13:00 hours, in the surroundings of the hermitage, the group Dianium Dansa will dance popular dances thanks to the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Dénia. At 14:00 hours a popular paella will be served for 5 euros per person.
After eating, at 16:00 hours, the procession will be celebrated in honor of Santa Paula, patron of the widows and lawyer of the evils of mange. At 16:30 hours the Holy Mass will be celebrated with the song of joys and the distribution of coca of Santa Paula and the traditional xocolatà.
