A total of 90 photographs opted for the prizes of XXII Photography Contest Dénia Theme which the Dénia City Council calls each year. The next 26 in April can be visited, in the Municipal House of Culture, a sample of all of them, but to open your mouth we can already enjoy the winners in the two proposed sections: tourist modality and artistic modality.
In the modality of tourist photography the dianense Jean Fleche has won the first prize thanks to the image April, which shows the silhouette of the Montgó on a green mantle. Fleche takes 600 euros for the first prize.
The second prize in this category was for Andrés Dianese Llorena, also with Platja in spring. Thanks to this award, Andrés Fornés takes 300 euros.
In the artistic modality, the first prize went to José Ramón Luna de la Ossa, from Tarancón (Cuenca), with photography Color games, which takes the 600 euros of the prize.
The second prize of this modality, endowed with 300 euros, has been for Alfredo Sanz Moncho, for his work Rumb to the sun.
Also, the jury has wanted "congratulate and recognize" the work of the finalist of the artistic category, Rodrigo Rodríguez, for his photography Escollera.
The jury of this edition was composed by José Antonio Vives Llobell, president of the Photographic Association of Xàbia, Rafa Carrió, Councilor for Culture, Eva Asperilla, technician of the Department of Tourism, and Maribel Font as secretary.
Of all the images presented, a selection of 39 photographs has been made, including the winners and the finalist, which will be exhibited in the Grand Hall of the 26 House of Culture from April to 12 in May. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday 26 in April, at 20 hours.
