SURVEY | Should Marqués de Campo and Marineta Cassiana be open to bicycles and electric scooters?

November 24 from 2021 - 15: 00

The City Council of Dénia has presented the new regulations on the circulation of personal mobility vehicles (electric scooters, segways ...) with which they limit their circulation exclusively to the roads within the 20/30 zones. Therefore, they cannot be used in pedestrian streets as before.

However, the consistory leaves the door open to consider two major exceptions, on the roads of Marqués de Campo and Marineta Cassiana. Depending, yes, on the availability of the neighbors, wanting to transfer said debate to the streets. Therefore, we launched the following surveys:

Should bicycles and VMPs be allowed to circulate through Marqués de Campo?

Should bicycles and VMPs be allowed to circulate through Marineta Cassiana?
Comments
  1. Vincent Frau says:

The Carrer Campos d'ús exclusiu per a vianants, ara bé, the Marineta de Cassiana d'ús shared but with limited speed.

    • Horten says:

And will they respect the limitation? Please, and if not, we call the police and when they arrive, everything is solved. the bikes and scooters have already left. Let's think about Marineta a little, it is a beautiful place to walk but if we confuse it with a road, the charm is over, we will have to be aware of the bell or the shouts so that we move away

  2. faustino says:

With so much place to circulate, they have to do it through two emblamic places in Denia, where people, surely including users of bikes, skates, etc., go out for a walk?
It cannot be that you have to be aware of if someone motorized comes (let's not confuse) and has seen you, the doorbell, etc, no, you go out to expand a little.
There are enough kilometers in Denia for all types of vehicles to circulate without endangering the integrity of the walker.

  4. Ignacio says:

Both bicycles and electric scooters are vehicles therefore that circulate where it belongs. Pedestrian zone is for pedestrians as the word already indicates.

  5. Horten says:

Who is going to watch the speed of bikes and scooters? If you go walking through the marineta it is terrible they pass you the bikes at full speed and shut up and don't say anything ……. for me to go on the road and pedestrians we can walk without danger

  6. Secondly, says:

    good morning
He believed that all motor vehicles should be prohibited in pedestrian zones; this is just my opinion on many others.

  7. Pedestrian rights says:

Allowing its circulation contravenes the Municipal Ordinance and the National Legislation. Therefore it would be immediately objectionable. And in case of doing so, the City Council would be in clear PREVARICATION !.

    • I xelo says:

Everything you want, but on the road to Las Rotas it is a danger to go by bicycle or scooter, therefore the safest route is the marineta Casiano, otherwise we will have a very big upset one day.
Legislation must be adapted to areas where there is danger for those who ride a bicycle or scooter.
What could be done is to limit the speed a lot.
And put fines for those who violate municipal regulations.

  8. Alfonso says:

All of this requires caution on the part of bike and VMP users.
I think this is not a debate for the general public. The vast majority are not aware of the use of VMP and possibly are not bicycle users either, so they directly vote negative without thinking about those who need to travel with those vehicles on those streets. It would not be fair for those who live there and want to go to Denia without a car but at a better speed than walking, to go through the broken roads.
And I also say that where the bikes go, the VMPs can go. You do not have to differentiate them.

  9. Boutrais Jacques says:

les velos et trotinettes roulent trop vite et on ne understood them pas !!!

  10. Peppa Pig says:

Skate or bike on the road is a hazard. For the marineta they do not do any damage with an adequate speed. No problem

  11. Christopher says:

Eliminating bicycles goes against a green and modern city. It would be smarter to give speed and courtesy rules in sensitive areas.

  12. DENIA says:

You can no longer play ball, or ride a bike or scooter, because you only have to get high

    • Jose Luis says:

Seeing how undisciplined the drivers of these vehicles are, they do not respect traffic lights or pedestrian crossings, it is not advisable to mix them, there are children playing in pedestrian areas, and these vehicles, as they have no identification, do not respect anything.

    • Antonio says:

      More than you already are?

  13. Peter wilkinson says:

In Marineta Cassiana, Bicycles must travel slowly. Less than 10Km / hour It is dangerous if you travel too fast.
