As a demonstration of the truth and authenticity of the Marina Alta. This is how the Mostra de Vins Singulars i de Poble, which will be celebrated in the month of June in the Great Riurau de Jesús Pobre. This second edition comes with a guest star: rosé wine, the great unknown of the existing varieties.
And, as the president of the Associació de Vins Singulars i de Poble, Mara Bañó, rosé is the perfect wine to pair with any menu, besides being the most attractive for people who start in the wine culture. Therefore, this II Mostra will start with a party dedicated exclusively to rosé wine.
Thus, the Saturday June 9, from the 19: 00 hours, the Pink Party in the Great Riurau. The 30 cellers who will participate in the show will offer tastings of their rosé wines at a party that will be entertained by a DJ. That night, attendees can buy 5 euros tickets that can be exchanged for three drinks.
El Sunday 10 June The Mostra will be open to the general public, who will be able to acquire, for 8 euros, tickets for three drinks. Thirty wineries will participate in this edition. Five of them, from the Marina Alta: Les Freses, Joan de la Casa, BioMoscatell, Uvas Cabrera and M de Alejandría. They will be joined by wineries from all over the country and from Australia, France and Italy. Along with the wines offered by each winery, you can enjoy coconuts, cheese and food from the Mercat del Riurau, as well as another of the novelties of this year, the vermouth Carmeleta.
Finally, the Monday June 11 The show will be dedicated to hospitality professionals, with special emphasis on the distribution of the product.
Last year, the first show managed to serve 5.000 glasses of wine among its attendees. This year, the organization has targeted the 6.000 cups.
In the presentation of this second edition, held in the Great Riurau of Jesus Pobre, the president of the association, Mara Bañó, was present; the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt; the president of AEHTMA, Cristina Sellés; the mayor of Jesús Pobre, Javier Scotto; the restorer and trainer of the CDT Evarist Miralles; and the sommelier of the restaurant BonAmb, Enrique García.
All of them have coincided in highlighting the capacity of this meeting to highlight the roots of the Marina Alta region and demonstrate that, respecting the land, one can live and show off.
