The month of August ended in Dénia with occupation data similar to those of previous years, which indicate the good health of the municipality in tourism. The hotels in the city have confirmed an occupation of the 90-95% during the whole month, the same number registered in tourist rentals, while in campings the 80% occupancy has been reached.
Occupation planned for the first half of September
Regarding the forecast of occupancy in tourist accommodation for the first half of September, the occupancy is expected to oscillate in a frame higher than an 75% in hotel establishments, an 58% in camps and an 52% in tourist rental accommodation, exceeding by 5% -10% the forecast made for the month of September 2017.
Almost 15.000 people visit the Tourist Offices
In the month of August, the three tourist information points of Dénia -Plaza Oculista Buigues, Plaza del Consell and Explanada Cervantes- have received the visit of 14.804 people.
Of the total number of visitors, an 48.5% has been attended in the central office, an 15% in the office of the Plaza del Consell and an 36.5% in the point of the Esplanade Cervantes that opens in the evenings / nights. Of the total number of visitors, an 52% has been of national origin and an 48% of international origin.
It should be noted that during the 2018 summer, Tourist Info Dénia has offered an uninterrupted service to the public from 9.30 in the morning to 22.00h in the evening, extending the opening hours at the central tourism office of the Plaza Oculista Buigues of 9: 30 to 20: 00 hours, complemented by the tourist office in Plaza Consell, with a schedule of 10 to 13 hours and the information point located on the Esplanade Cervantes, from 18: 30 to 22: 00 hours.
