The television service will be free for La Pedrera patients from the 15 in February

February 11 from 2019 - 12: 53

The Department of Universal Health and Public Health guarantees, from the next 15 in February, the free television service in public hospitals of the 20 direct management health departments of the Valencian Community, including the hospitals of chronically sick people and long stay

Thus, from that date, the patients of the Hospital La Pedrera de Dénia will have free access to the television service, a measure that is framed within the Infrastructure Dignification Plan and the campaign to humanize health, "seeking the greater well-being of users of the public health, and the universal service, public and free", in the words of the Councilor for Universal Health and Public Health, Ana Barceló.

Therefore, starting next week, "Patients, both in their bed and in hospitalization stations, and their relatives in the waiting rooms, would not have to pay out of pocket for television service while they are admitted".

Specifically, at the La Pedrera Hospital a total of 62 TV terminals will be updated from a total of 5.600 TVs throughout the Valencian Community. The measure will involve a cost close to the 1,2 million euros, in concept of the management of the service itself and the integral maintenance of each and every one of the 5.584 terminals involved, including its accessories (controls, batteries) and the necessary installation to its provision.

This measure will not apply to Hospital de Dénia since its management does not depend directly on the Generalitat Valenciana.

The owner of Health explained that, to date, this service had a cost of about four euros a day for patients and patients-the usual average stay per patient is 3 days-and was managed by concession companies that charge the patient for this service if requested.

If it has always been free, what is another way of announcing that you are going to steal something? politicians should bring their TVs to all hospitals and should always be free enough to explain to the devotees
