The Entrearomas restaurant wins the first prize in the XIX Dénia Tapas Route

The cod taco on roasted pumpkin cream, shepherd's crumbs and crispy Iberian beard with which the Entrearomas restaurant participated in the XIX Dénia Tapas Route, held from February 18 to March 13, has been chosen by the public as the best cover of this edition. This first prize is endowed with a commemorative plaque, a tasting lunch or dinner at the restaurant Mena and a decorative patio heater courtesy of fire Spreading.

El second prize went to tempura-bar&grill, which prepared the cover “Polp & Roll”: a grilled octopus taco, mango jelly, bean cream, guacamole and blue corn coca. Together with the commemorative plaque, those responsible for the premises will enjoy a dinner with a night in a hotel and breakfast at the La Font d'Alcalà hotel, in Alcalà de la Jovada.

The prizes of the 19th edition of the GuiaME Dénia Tapas Route have been delivered today in an act in which the first deputy mayor, Maria Josep Ripoll; Manolo Martí, from GuiaME Comunicació, organizer of the route; Diego Mena, director of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (Aehtma) and representatives of the companies collaborating with the initiative.

The Aehtma award, chosen by a technical jury, went to Bar Bonanza for its reinterpretation of a seafood stew baptized as “Churros con chocolate?”. The endowment of this award consists of a commemorative plaque and a haute cuisine gastronomic experience in Dénia for two people.

The prize for the best tapa made with native products that Turismo Dénia rewards with a commemorative plaque went to the "Artichoke" from Cata's bar: an artichoke from La Terreta with pickled foam and its little vegetables, and dry octopus from the bay.

Added to these awards is the recognition that the organization wanted to toast the restaurant the Mosset, awarding him a special prize, endowed with 300 euros in cash, "for his dedication, involvement and commitment, as well as good work and dedication" which has been demonstrated with the Tapas Route from the beginning. Its owner, Dioni, "has 100% committed to this event and has never missed an appointment, even knowing that due to its location it has less chance of winning the popular vote prizes", highlighted Manolo Martí, from GuíaME. “That means that if you put your mind to it, you can get it and we encourage you to continue fighting and betting to get more prizes from this route.”

Then The draw has been carried out to distribute prizes among the riders who have filled out and delivered their evaluation passport with a minimum of 15 punctuated caps. The winners are: José Mª Montalvo Gutiérrez (tapas dinner for two people at the Entrearomas restaurant, winner of the route's first prize); Kathryn Eden (tapas dinner for two at the Tempura restaurant, winner of the route's second prize); Héctor López (tapas for two people at Cata's bar, winner of the Dénia Tourism award); Raymonde (tapas dinner for two at Bar Bonanza, winner of the Aehtma award); Massimina Candeloro, winner of the gourmet basket from the land of Melicatessen and Virginia Whitehead, winner of the award sponsored by Aehtma of a dinner, hotel night and breakfast for two at the Hotel Los Angeles Denia.

Lastly, in the raffle carried out among the road users who scored the 33 contestants, the winner was Ramón Rodríguez Álvarez, a resident of Bilbao. The award, sponsored by the mall Portal de la Marina, consists of a 500 euro gift card for purchases in stores of the commercial area.

The organizers are already working on the 20th edition of the route, which will be held next October.
