Last weekend, the Optimist B sailing team Real Club Nautico Denia He moved to Alicante to compete in the Optimist Team Championship, organized by the Alicante Costa Blanca Yacht Club, as a complementary event to The Ocean Race. The Dianense club was the winner of this team test that took place at the 30 and 31 in April.
On Saturday 30, the RCND competed in the 2 Group with Altea, Jávea, Campello and Real Club de Regatas Alicante. The Dianense club achieved a full victory, in a day marked by the strong wind.
On Sunday 31, already in Gold Group, played the race with Valencia, Calpe, Alicante and Altea. After defeating Valencia, Calpe and Altea, the Real Club Náutico Dénia was positioned as 1º of Grupo Oro and champion of the event. The day of Sunday was characterized by the good wind.
A total of 40 Optimist divided into 10 clubs participated in this event, in which the Dianense club competed with Carlota Gómez, Eduardo Reyes, Vicente Fernández and Julián Pérez.
Jaime Portolés, President of the Dénia Nautical Club, has celebrated the victory and thanked the young sailors for their participation in this event.
